Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Gary Windass will face more consequences as the soap continues to film storylines involving him in a Rick Neelan drama.

In the previous episodes, it was seen that the late Laura (Kel Allen) was arrested when accused of murdering her husband, Rick Neelan (Greg Wood). Determined to know the truth behind the mess, she hired a private investigator until she discovered that Gary Windass (Mikey North) was the man behind Rick’s murder.

The devastated Laura wanted to let Gary pay for his evil action; however, she had a change of heart after hearing from Kelly how much Gary and Maria (Samia Longchambon) meant to her. She also sacrificed her freedom knowing that she’s already failing due to her terminal illness and to secure Kelly’s (Millie Gibson) future as well.

Talking about the bloody incident, Mikey North, the actor who plays Gary Windass in the soap told Digital Spy last 2019: “It was self-defense. In Gary’s defense, Rick came at him with a shovel. It was literally a fight to the death, and he had to fight to survive.” He also stated that it was difficult for Gary to take the murder, however, he was able to keep it a secret but continued to haunt him. As for his upcoming storylines, North revealed that his character tries to make things right but always finds himself doing the wrong thing.

As for Kel Allen, who played Laura Neelan in the soap, she revealed that her character was shocked by the truth and mourned for the “loss of a man that she had already lost.” Thinking about her onscreen daughter, Kelly, she was extremely angry with Gary, but Laura realized that the man took care of the youngster because of the guilt he did with her dad in the past.
