Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) is going through a deep, dark depression. Before her situation gets better, it will get worse. However, in the meantime, there is a bit of good news that comes her way. Her deaf son will be fitted with hearing aids and hears Gemma and Chesney Brown’s (Sam Aston) for the first time, which lights up the little boy’s face.
Gemma Winter’s Depression
Corrie spoilers reveal that Gemma has been dealing with massive depression and things are just getting worse for her. Not only is she spiraling downhill fast, but now she is having terrifying dreams of hurting her babies. She doesn’t want Chesney to know and despite Bernie Winter’s (Jane Hazlegrove) urging, Gemma lies to the doctor about her symptoms.
Corrie Spoilers: Aled Winter-Brown’s Condition
In addition to trying to take care of quadruplets with little support, Gemma is also being bullied by other mom’s — the very women who should be encouraging her. She also had to cope with the news that one of her children was deaf.
Fitting With Hearing Aids
Coronation Street spoilers from Digital Spy confirm that next week, Aled Winter-Brown (Charlotte and James Holt, Harry and Harvey Thompson, as well as Arthur, Lily, and Lucy Taylor) will be fitted with hearing aids. They would have to wait and see how Aled would react to the hearing aids and if they would help him.
Remember, every child and every situation is different. Even though hearing aids help many deaf babies, that is not the case for all. So, this is a heart-stopping moment for Chesney and Gemma as they wait to see if the child reacts to voices and noise.
Coronation Street Spoilers: Lighting Up a Dark World
It is confirmed that Aled hears his parents’ voices for the first time. When he can actually listen to Chesney and Gemma talk, little Aled’s face completely lights up. It seems that this scene will also light up Gemma’s dark world, even if it is just for a moment.
Unfortunately, the good feelings surrounding Aled’s successful hearing aid fitting don’t last. It turns out that Gemma decides she doesn’t need Bernie’s help… or interference anymore. She promptly kicks her mother out, but will she end up regretting that decision? Fans will have to keep watching the British soap opera to see how this storyline develops over the next few weeks.
