Coronation Street: Jacob Hay Coronation Street spoilers and updates tease that Jacob Hay (Jack James Ryan) believes someone else spiked Amy Barlow’s drink, which caused her to collapse at the bar. He’s been accused of doing the deed but he has denied them all. Now he has a theory of who may be the culprit. But the question is if Amy’s parents and the authorities would believe him.

It all started when Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) sent Amy and her friends home early after discovering that they were drunk after successfully sneaking alcohol. But instead of going home, they went to a club.

Fans may recall that Amy joined Jacob when he asked her to come with him after their school’s Valentine’s Day dance. Amy roped in Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) and Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) to go with her.

At the venue, Amy started to feel woozy and ended up collapsing, after Jacob took her outside the club. He tells Asha to call an ambulance as he places Amy in the recovery position.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Rushed To The Hospital

Amy is rushed to the hospital where she remains unconscious and in critical condition. Everyone is pinning the blame on Jacob because they know he’s a drug dealer. They automatically assume that it was him who drugged Amy despite Jacob protesting his innocence.

Jacob claims that someone else spiked Amy’s drink during the school dance, well before she reached the club. It’s been proven by her blood test results that she has GHB in her system. Now, the question is who would believe Jacob’s theory?

Coronation Streets – Alexandra Mardell Leaves Coronation Street

Alexandra Mardell who plays the role of Emma Booker in the daytime drama is leaving the cobbles. She’s set to film her final scenes this month. Despite that, fans can still catch the actress and her alter ego on the show until April.

The door is left wide open for Mardell. She’s been with the cobbles for four years and considers the experience as the best one of her life.

“Compared to other cast members I still feel like a newbie, which makes my decision to leave all the more difficult,” the actress shared. Mardell revealed that she believes it’s the right time for her to go.

“I can’t thank everyone at Coronation Street enough for welcoming me and trusting me to tell so many wonderful and heartfelt stories,” the actress said.
