Coronation Street Spoilers: Jacob Makes Error In A Showdown With Simon

Coronation Street spoilers have teased an upcoming showdown between former drug dealer Jacob Hay with his previous victim Simon Barlow following the former’s secret affair with good child Amy.

Amy (Elle Mulvaney) is going against her family’s wish with her boyfriend Jacob (Jack James Ryan) who previously placed their family to destruction. Although she broke up with him after the drink spiking incident, Amy pursued their romance and in upcoming scenes, their secret love relationship will be out in the open.

On Friday’s (March 18) episode, Tracy (Kate Ford) tells Amy about her plans to spend some mom and daughter but the schoolgirl is torn because she’s already set a secret date with Jacob.

‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – Amy Barlow Sees Her Mom At The Bistro

Things took a turn when Amy spots her mom at the bistro, ordering sambuca shots and flirting with a man but she’s more gutted to realize she’s forced to spend time with dad Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) after summoning him to take Tracy home.

Despite the changes, Amy assures Jacob they will meet up later for she’ll try to swerve her parents. However, Steve quizzes Emma (Alexandra Mardell) where did Amy go, and the reluctant barmaid covers Amy, saying she’s heading off to Emma’s. Little did Amy know, Steve saw her rushing to the tram station. Busted, Amy decides it’s time to let them know. But how will they react?

Amy arranges a lunch date at the Bistro with her parents but when she arrives with Jacob by her side, they were taken aback. Tracy threatens to leave but Steve calms her down, pointing out that she’s now of legal age and whether or not they like it she’ll decide things for herself.

The atmosphere turns sour when Leanne (Jane Danson) spots them all with Jacob, vexed on how they can let him into the family after how he almost destroyed it. But Amy and Jacob proceed with the announcement that they’re in love.

Later, Amy is faced with the same question of choosing between her family and happiness when they all see Jacob punching Simon (Alex Bain) in a showdown. Steve asserts it is time for her to choose only one. Who will she choose?

Corrie actress Elle Mulvaney previously revealed that she was shocked to know about Amy and Jacob reuniting but is hopeful that the couple will thrive in their relationship despite all odds.

“I think I want Amy and Jacob to work out because they’re a good-yet-unlikely match. And it would be nice to see a young couple stay together long-term on the Street,” Elle told Inside Soap.
