Coronation Street Spoilers: James Burrows Exits Corrie – How Will Ali Leave?

Corrie spoilers tease another character is leaving “Coronation Street” as James Burrows leaves the show as Ali Neeson. A spokesperson from the show confirmed the actor’s departure but they’re keeping a tight lid on his exit storyline.

Burrows have already filmed his final scenes and his expected to bow out of the soap in March. He’ll have a final showdown with Gary Windass (Mikey North). But fans don’t have to worry since his character wont’ be killed off and that means, the doors are open for a possible return.

Ali has played a key role in many storylines including an affair with Carla Connor (Alison King), killing Ronan Truman (Alan McKenna), and being addicted to diazepam.

Viewers may recall that Gary and Ali are at loggerheads over Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon). Viewers may recall that Maria has been having doubts that his boyfriend, Gary, is back on his dodgy dealings once again.

But what she doesn’t know is that he’s actually trying to get his hands on the perfect engagement ring as he plans to finally pop the big question.

Unfortunately, Maria makes a huge mistake of cheating on Gary. Believing that Gary is back to his old tricks again, Maria turns to Ali for comfort. The two have a heart to heart but one thing leads to another. Before long, Ali and Maria share a passionate kiss. Spoilers also hint that Maria will sleep with his ex-boyfriend.

North and Burrows have recently filmed some fight scenes, which means Gary found out about what they did. It seems like Ali’s bound to lose this fight given that he’s about to leave the cobbles.

“Ali’s been one of the most popular characters on the cobbles but the time has come for him to leave. He’s at war with murderer Gary Windass over ex Maria Connor and the pair will be involved in a brutal showdown on the cobbles soon,” a source told The Sun.

Off-screen, Burrows is living a happy life with her fiancée Sophie Coates. The pair recently had their first child. Baby Betty was born in April but the couple decided to keep it a secret until June of last year. Burrows announced the birth of their baby girl on Instagram.
