Grace (Kate Spencer) decided not to co parent with Michael (Ryan Russell) after finding out that he did not have feelings for her. She received a job offer in Hull which she revealed later on.
After learning of this Micheal tried to convince her to stay but she would not listen. However, Ed (Trevor Micheal Georges) and Aggie Bailey (Lorna Laidlaw) tried to convince Grace to stay instead of leaving with Glory. This led to Grace deciding to blackmail the couple into getting the home they had brought from the auction that they had planned on renovating and would rent out.

Ed and Aggie decided to give into what Grace wanted by giving her the house they brought. The only ones who know about the blackmail that took place is Grace, Ed, and Aggie leaving Michael and James (Nathan Graham) to not realize what was going on. In upcoming episodes, James’s boyfriend, Danny (Dylan Brady) overhears a conversation between Ed and Paul (Peter Ash) about there being a cash flow problem at the builder’s yard.
Coronation Street spoilers show James does not understand why there would be a cash flow problem since his dad had been really busy recently with work. It might come out that Ed has been using most of his time to repair the house that Grace had moved into.
A confused James wants to know what is really going on. Aggie would then go on to admitting that they were blackmailed by Grace.
