Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Fiz Stape, played by Jennie McAlpine, will temporarily leave the show because of some great news.
Jennie will have to leave the show because she is currently pregnant with her third child with Chris Farr.
According to the showrunner Iain MacLeod, Fiz’s exit will be written off as if Fiz and Tyrone (played by Alan Halsall) will have to be apart for quite some time. But he assured fans that the couple would not break up.
He also said that when Jennie announced her pregnancy, they were all really happy for her. Still, at the same time, they also thought about how she will be temporarily written off without really making major changes to their original plans for the soap.

As mentioned, he assured the fans of Corrie that the two will never split, especially now that they have finally got married after an on-again-off-again relationship.
Fans have witnessed their whirlwind relationship and it would really be a bummer if it’s just for nothing.
MacLeod also mentioned that as a part of this temporary long-distance relationship, they have already pre-recorded some videos that they will use for video calls to maintain the narrative that Fiz and Tyrone are still alright despite the distance.
He also revealed that they are trying to cover as many scenarios as possible to cover the whole duration of Jennie’s pregnancy. Maybe they will also consider her recovery time as well.
Jennie announced her pregnancy back in January. She was already six months pregnant back then. She said that she is really excited about her growing family and she said that it was the best Christmas present.

Jennie first appeared in Coronation Street in 2001 and had been with the series ever since. She was even part of the TV movie Coronation Street: Tram Crash back in 2010. But before Corrie, Jennie was part of the TV series Emmerdale Farm and Children in Need.
