Coronation Street Spoilers: Julia Goulding Back As Shona Ramsey

A familiar face will soon return to the cobbles. Actress Julia Goulding has gone back to work on the “Coronation Street” and has started to shoot scenes as Shona Ramsey. The official Twitter account of the soap announced her return on February 29.

Goulding returned from a maternity leave, which she took after giving birth to her baby boy, Franklin on November 30. The soap tweeted a brief clip of the actress where she said, “Hi everyone, you may be wondering why I am wearing my Coronation Street warm coat – it’s ’cause Shona’s back! [laughs]”.

“Guess who was back filming with us this week? We’ve missed you @juliagoulding #SaturdaySneakPeek #Corrie #BehindTheScenes,” the caption on the post read.

It’s been awhile since viewers saw Shona on the cobbles after suffering a brain injury on Christmas Day. She lost her memory due to the injuries she sustained after she was shot by Derek Milligan (Craige Els). David has been driving back and forth to visit his wife on Leeds but she has refused to see him ever since.

Corrie Boss Says David/Shona Story Is Very Big

In a previous interview, “Coronation Street” boss Iain MacLeod said that David and Shona’s story is “very big” and their storyline will continue all the way through next year.

‘The David/Shona story is very big. The character of David can pretty much sustain any kind of story, whether it be comedy or tragedy, and this is probably slightly more towards the latter category,” he said,

“This is going to be very big, not just in January, but all the way through to next year. The events of Christmas will provide David and Shona with the biggest test of their relationship – and that’s not an exaggeration. If you consider what they have been through already, that is no small statement,” he said.

Coronation Street Spoilers For The Week of March 2

Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) will finally pop the big question next week. In the pub, he will tell Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) that he’ll show Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) how much he loves her. Before Adam can do anything, Daniel goes out into the street, gets down on his knees and shouts up at Bethany’s salon flat. It all seems so romantic but Bethany will realize that Daniel is proposing to her with Sinead Tinker’s (Katie McGlynn) ring. Later, Bethany will leave the cobbles alone, which will mark the character’s exit from the sudser.
