Coronation Street Spoilers: Kelly Neelan To Team Up With Laura Neelan In A Money-Making Scheme

“Coronation Street” has revealed its plans to set up Kelly Neelan in a new storyline with biological mother Laura Neelan in a money-making scheme.

Next in the ITV soap, Kelly (Millie Gibson), who’s still locked-up in custody for GBH after the Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) and Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) hate attack, receives a visit from an unexpected guest, mother Laura Neelan (Kel Allen).

TV Times documented, Laura will work as a cleaner at the Underworld, but her income “won’t stretch very far,” so she will use her child in prison to earn some serious cash.

“Coronation Street” Theory — Laura Joins Harvey Gaskell’s Drug Empire

Last week, drug lord Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) was finally damned in prison after aunt Sharon Bentley (Tracie Bennett) testified against him in court and revealed his drug business, including how he recruits children as drug couriers.

Shortly after Harvey was sentenced to 10-year imprisonment, Sharon met with one of his thugs announcing she’ll take over the drug empire and she needed him to spread the news to other drug dealers.

However, Sharon wasn’t able to secure the £10,000 she should’ve got from conning her foster mother Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox), and left the Weatherfield penniless.

Yet, actress Tracie Bennett has recently hinted in her farewell post on Instagram that her character Sharon might be back in the long-running soap soon.

Does This Mean Sharon And Laura Will Be Working Together To Get Harvey’s Dodgy Empire Running?

Viewers know Laura has never been truly concerned for her daughter, which led Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo) and Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) to foster Kelly.

But with Laura visiting Kelly in prison, she might recruit her child to be one of Harvey’s drug couriers inside.

Will Kelly’s foster parents Imran and Toyah unearth Laura’s illegal plans?

Corey Brent (Maximus Evans) was previously arrested after he attacked Nina. Things might actually turn out well for Kelly if ever Corey will be found guilty for the attack.

But the character might as well be digging her own grave if she’ll accept her mother’s offer.

Actress Millie Gibson might have hinted at the character’s destruction in her previous interview with Digital Spy. She revealed Kelly “always gets in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

Millie admitted that playing her character has been challenging to her, but in a good way.

“Kelly is quite boisterous, she’s quite hard-faced,” she continued. “I’m not as confident as Kelly. How she speaks to people, it’s really fun,” she said. Check back here for more Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates.
