Spoilers and teasers document Nina’s (Mollie Gallagher) tragic aftermath in coping with the death of her beloved Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) and the gang leader Corey (Maximus Evans) escaping justice by framing Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) as the killer and by receiving a bail ahead of his trial.
In episodes set to air an hour-long this Thursday on ITV, Nina quits her job at the factory as she’s unprepared for a meeting after turning to booze the entire night.
She drinks with an old guy named Hughie in the rovers causing Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) to worry for her friend. Daisy then phones Seb’s bereaved mother Abi (Sally Carman) when the older guy invites Nina to head back to his hotel and the grieving lady agrees.
But when Nina crosses paths with Corey talking with the football legend Tommy (Matt Milburn) at the hotel bar, she humiliates him before Tommy, who was discussing Corey’s Best New Talent award, by narrating how the aspiring footballer kicked Seb to death.
Upon rushing to leave, Corey forgets to bring his award with him and Nina picks it up to attack him. But when Nina’s about to hit him using the coveted award, Abi intervenes and saves her from turning into a killer.
“Coronation Street” Spoilers — Tables Are Turning
But the villainous man can’t forget what she did and later confronts her at the cafe for wreaking havoc on his career. Nina fights back and throws his award, provoking Corey to be the devil that he is. When he’s about to lay a finger on her, Uncle Roy (David Neilson) intervenes and calls the police.
Corey previously promised to court not to go near Seb’s family and loved ones for the bail, and now that he’s breached his conditions, will he finally rot in jail?
Corrie boss Iain MacLeod has confirmed this storyline will run across the rest of the year with “many twists and turns” and actor Maximus Evans admitted last month in his interview with Digital Spy he wanted to see Corey suffer for the consequences.
“I think what Corrie does best is their ability to drag out these storylines so you can give the full awareness as to what we’re trying to promote,” Evans said.
“With a character like Corey, it would be interesting if he was around for a while – especially so the younger viewers can sense the brutality of the story and how these devils are walking around us and look exactly like us,” he added.
“Coronation Street” Spoilers – Millie Gibbson Supports Sophie Charity
Kelly Neelan’s portrayer Millie Gibson has recently supported Sophie Charity by promoting the Great Manchester Run and encouraging her fans on Twitter to donate.
The Sophie Lancaster Foundation has worked with the Corrie bosses to ensure the hate attack storyline for Seb and Nina depicts the tragic story of Sophie Lancaster, a young woman who died after she and her boyfriend were attacked by a gang for dressing goth in Lancashire in 2007.
