Jade entered the lives of the Stapes back in 2019. It was revealed later on that she’s the daughter of John Stape (Graeme Hawley). Ever since she arrived on the cobbles, she’s always had her eyes on her half-sister, Hope. She wants to take her away from Fiz and Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall). In order to have her, she accused Fiz of abusing Hope.
So when Hope disappears, everyone will blame Jade. What they didn’t know is that Jade had nothing to do with it. But she’s aware that she might have caused all these and feels guilty that she may have put the child’s life in danger.
Henshall Speaks Out On Lottie’s Disappearance
Henshall said, “Jade is horrified that Hope has run away. That is the last thing she expected to happen. She had no idea, but no-one believes her and thinks she knows where Hope is.”
“You would think Jade would run away with Hope, but she does just the opposite and takes her home to the Street. The care and love for Hope are real and she knows she had put her in danger,” she continued.
“John’s grave is the one place that she can think of to look, and she is so relieved when she finds Hope there. It was emotional to film. Jade felt she had almost lost her for good,” she added.

Fiz Hits Jade
Jade could have easily taken Hope and leave the cobbles for good but she didn’t. Fiz didn’t know that Jade was the one who brought Hope home. So, when she finds Jade in her kitchen, she freaks out. She hits her with a chopping board over the head and knocks her out.
Because of this, Jade will have something on Fiz.
“Jade’s thought process from being hit, to a couple of days later when she recovers, is that she has something now on Fiz and she can blackmail her to try and let her see Hope.”
