Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Martin Hancock recently reprised his role as Spider Nugent. The actor opened up about his comeback and also called for the soap to bring back another classic character.

Fans were happy to see Hancock return to the soap as Spider. His character reconnected with Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor), who confessed to him that she wanted to kill her husband, Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo). Given that Imran is now dead and Spider working as an undercover police officer with DS Swain (Vicky Myers), he’s conflicted about what to do with Toyah’s confession, especially now that DS Swain has been very suspicious about the circumstances surrounding the death of Imran.

In an interview with Inside Soap magazine, Hancock shared that he’d love to see a classic character return to the soap.

“Oh gosh, if I could bring back another Corrie character, it would be Curly Watts,” Hancock said.

“Kevin Kennedy [who played Curly] was so much fun to work with. If you were lucky enough to have scenes with him, you never stopped laughing. So to have him back would be lovely,” he added.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Martin Hancock Talks About Holby City

Aside from Coronation Street, Hancock also appeared in Holby City as Reg Lund. The actor said that he had fun being part of the show, which ended earlier this year.

“You do lots of heavy serious things on-screen; but off camera, everyone’s mucking around. I think one of my favorite scenes was filming with Ade Edmondson [who played Abra Durant],” he shared.
