Fans know that Gary and Maria didn’t have it easy when they were together. Gary tried to get his life back after he was released from prison but Maria was reluctant to take him back. He even considered moving to Bristol. Later on, Maria suspected that Gary had something to do with Sam Blakeman’s (Jude Riordan) kidnapping. In Thursday’s episode, it was made clear that he had nothing to do with it. Plus, Gary was lucky not to be seriously hurt after ending up in the crossfire.
Coronation Street Spoilers – Maria Connor Apologises To Gary Windass
Maria approached Gary as he walked into the cobbles. She tried to explain that she never really believed that he could kidnap Sam. She then apologized and said, “I know you had nothing to do with Sam being taken, but you can’t blame me for thinking the worst, can you?”
Gary joked and said it doesn’t seem like she’s apologizing. So, Maria decided to ask if he was free, which was her other way of saying she’s sorry.
Maria joked and said “I was married to this guy who used to take me out occasionally.
Gary replied “Yeah? Sounds like a nice guy.”
Maria quickly answered, “Eh, I wouldn’t go that far.”
She told Gary to call her and then walked off with a big grin on her face. The brief exchange gave Gary hope that he may finally get the chance to reconcile with Maria.
Will this pave the way for the former couple to rekindle their relationship? Will Gary finally be willing to give up all his dirty deeds and start a new life with Maria?
