Uncle and niece keep finding common interests and a source told Metro that fans will see more of Nina in the coming weeks and months. Fans already enjoy her relationship with Roy and Carla Connor (Alison King) and this will be explored more. Corrie fans will remember that Nina had confessed to Roy that she was homeless and had been sleeping rough.

Roy will be introducing Nina to his friends at the bat watchers society, but they reportedly won’t take to her, relating to the way she dresses. However, Roy will get defensive and will stand up for her, which will further bond the pair.

Nina and her social conscience

The source continued by saying Nina will “become somewhat of a social conscience” for the street and will fight for what she believes in. In the process, she will make friends with Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) and will support “her ongoing body image struggles.” Corrie fans will remember that Asha used a skin-lightening cream and suffered damage to her skin from a bad reaction to the cream.

Finally, the source said Nina has a lot of material in the works and Coronation Street showrunners are excited about this and hope her warm reception from fans will continue to grow.
