Sarah (Tina O’Brien) was the one who reconnected her husband Adam (Sam Robertson) to his ex Lydia Chambers (Rebecca Ryan) when the two women met at the Underworld Factory. Lydia vividly remembered Adam, but the solicitor lets slipped their memories at the University.
Adam’s reaction triggered a hurting Lydia which resulted in a big revenge storyline while it also put his marriage with Sarah in the line. Lydia manipulated a jealous Sarah into believing that she and Adam got back together for weeks already and backed it up with false evidence.
Sarah dumped all Adam’s belongings, ready to move on without him but an unlikely hero will step in to make her think of her decisions hard.
In upcoming scenes, Carla Barlow (Alison King) shares her reservations to Lydia with Sarah and advises her to rethink her decisions as she seems suspicious. But will it be enough to stop Sarah from cutting Adam forever from her life?
‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – “She Absolutely Loves Him”
Corrie actress Tina O’Brien revealed that this scene with Carla will cause her character Sarah to have second thoughts about leaving Adam because “she absolutely loves him” despite what happened. However, she’s still torn because the evidence that Lydia provided is too strong to just neglect.
The soap star shared that Carla’s words will lead Sarah into letting Adam and her son Harry continue having their relationship as it would be unfair for the two if she just cut them from each other. With this Adam presumes things are getting back together and Sarah’s ready to welcome him into her arms.
“Sarah loves him very much, but she feels so badly betrayed that she doesn’t think she could come back from that kind of betrayal,” she told Digital Spy.
Sarah’s hurting will play out more in the upcoming scenes with Adam and Lydia’s deadly showdown which will result in Adam falling from a first-floor railing. While the solicitor ends up in the hospital fighting for his life, Sarah will not want to get involved anymore.
“That sounds quite heartless, but at the same time I think with everything she’s been through, it’s not her place to visit him in hospital,” she added. Will she regret her decision if Adam doesn’t make it through?
This will storyline will also lead to Lydia’s exit as the soap already confirmed actress Rebecca Ryan filmed her final scenes early last month.
