Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Spider Nugent (Martin Hancock) will have no choice but to follow Griff Reynolds’ (Michael Condron) orders even if that means spreading hate within the community. He’s still working undercover for the police as they try to bring down Griff’s extremist group.

Residents of the cobbles have no idea that Spider is working undercover. In upcoming scenes, Griff will ask Spider to hand out leaflets accusing refugees of taking over their community.

Fans may recall that Griff gave a public speech at the community center, which prompted Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) to make it a place where refugees can get support. Maria will be furious when she sees what Spider is doing, but he has no choice but to protect his cover. Will he lose all his friends as he tries to take down Griff?

Meanwhile, Maria and Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) will be targeted by Griff’s gang, who are inside a red car. The extremist group will intimidate the ladies as they walk in front of the vehicle.

The police suddenly arrive and force Griff out of the car. Were the two ladies at the wrong place and time, or were they set up by someone?

Maria has been very vocal about her support for local refugees. Unfortunately, the extremist gang isn’t happy about it. Maria and the others are trying to stand up against Griff’s group, but Max Turner (Paddy Bever) doesn’t seem to see they’re bad people.

Griff has been grooming him to join their gang. In upcoming scenes, Griff will continue to disillusion him about his family and his life as a way to convince him to become one of them. Griff will also make the most out of Max, especially his computer skills, which are very helpful.

Not only that, Griff has managed to convince him to use his computer skills to spread hateful messages about others within the community.

Will David manage to convince Max that he’s with the wrong crowd? Will he accept the fact that he’s being groomed by Griff? Or is he in too deep to turn back?
