Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Stephen Reid found another way to cover his real financial status. In the recent episode of the longest-running soap, Stephen’s (Todd Boyce) lies have been slowly opened when Gail (Helen Worth) noticed that Stephen regifted the hip flask he received from Elaine (Paula Wilcox).

When the villain made the item as his birthday present for David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd), Gail thought that Stephen must be hiding something wrong.

Meanwhile, Stephen’s estranged wife, Gabrielle, made a call to his family and told Gail that Stephen stole a huge amount of money from her company. As a result, Gail madly approached Stephen in front of Elaine and told the man about the news she has just received. On the other hand, Elaine defended Stephen and stated that Gabrielle stopped him from holding his own money.

Stephen then stated that he doesn’t want the authorities to get involved with the situation as he wanted to deal with the problem in his own way. Moreover, he and Gail agreed to keep the money issues from their mom, Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls).

Stephen then threatened Gabrielle saying: “You have absolutely no idea what I am capable of. If any of my family calls, you do not pick up, do you hear me?”

Meanwhile, at The Rovers, Elaine approached Stephen and told him about her decision not to lend him any money for his investment in Sarah Barlow’s (Tina O’Brien) new business. Elaine explained that she likes him so much that she doesn’t want to let money issues go on their way. On the other hand, Stephen pretended to understand the situation, but he was completely angry with the idea.

However, the concerned dad couldn’t believe that Leo will just disappear from the cobbles, so he starts to investigate his son’s sudden dismissal. Meanwhile, in the pub, Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) tells Stephen about Teddy’s new information about his son, leaving the villain anxious. Afterward, when Teddy joins Jenny in the pub, he reveals that Leo didn’t step foot in Canada and the message he received was just from the cobbles.

Later that day, when Teddy crosses the streets, a fast-speed van sweeps him in the road. Will Teddy still remember the man behind the wheel? If the information about Leo floats to the surface, will Stephen be up for another murder?
