Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates reveal that Stephen Reid, played by Todd Boyce, has made new threats. In a recent episode, Stephen got a letter saying that they knew what he did to Rufus. He immediately thought that it was the two men that sold him LSD before.

The two men revealed that they had figured out that Stephen had drugged Rufus. And now, they are blackmailing him. They are demanding £10,000 from him.
Stephen agreed to pay, but he actually persuaded them to meet away from their actual meet-up place. He then threatened them back.
He said that he would agree for them to go to the police and that if they actually reported him and he was proven innocent, he would hunt them down and kill them brutally. The men were convinced that Stephen would do what he said.
Another Problem After The Threat
Even after Stephen had finished dealing with the threats made by the drug dealers, he now had to deal with Elaine’s son, Tim.

Elaine (played by Paula Wilcox) recently proposed to Stephen when he was still high from the LSD he accidentally drank. He didn’t intentionally agree to Elaine’s proposal. And now he’s caught with the engagement, while Tim (played by Joe Duttine) objects to it.
Stephen managed to ask Tim why he didn’t agree with his engagement with Elaine. Tim answered that everything doesn’t make any sense, and the only thing that makes sense about the engagement is that Stephen is only marrying his mother for her money.
Elaine didn’t take this lightly and was really hurt by what his son thought of her engagement. She then decided to move into a hotel until the wedding and disinvited her own son.
We are not sure how Stephen will deal with Tim. He really didn’t agree to the engagement, to begin with. He was under the influence when he agreed and was just caught up.

Apart from the accidental agreement to the engagement, Stephen is also eyeing another woman – Jenny (played by Sally Ann Matthews). Jenny was getting close with a new business contact, Owen.
And with the recent events, Stephen could be so out of it and might do something irrational. If he gets really jealous, he could do something to Owen.
