On Coronation Street, Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) will take the first step in trying to fix their marriage. The couple will take the advice of their marriage counselor to be nicer and spend time with each other. However, it’s easier said than done. The pair will immediately run into some issues that could make their attempt to mend their relationship much harder.

Viewers know that Tracy found herself in Paula Martin’s (Stirling Gallacher) bed in the New Year. Tracy didn’t mean for it to happen and after realizing what she’s done, she’s left devastated.

Guilt-stricken, Tracy tried to cover up her indiscretion but Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) managed to put two and two together and threatened to reveal everything to Steve. The latter eventually found about what she’s done but decided to work things out with his wife.

Mending Their Broken Relationship

Tracy and Steve have decided to try to fix their relationship and so they will go through marriage counseling. Upcoming scenes will see the pair take the advice of their counselor to try to be nicer to each other.

Not only that, but they will also be asked to spend more time together, an advice that they were both willing to take. However, the pair will immediately run into some problems as they both can’t seem to agree on what activity they should do on their day off.

Steve and Tracy Joins A Book Club

It’s like they no longer know each other as they try to figure out what to do together. Fortunately, Claudia Colby (Rula Lenska) comes up with a clever idea. She will suggest that the couple join Ken’s book club.

The pair will agree since they can’t think of anything else. They will then be given strict instructions to get reading well before they attend their first meeting. The question now is will the two manage to get through this without arguing? Will Tracy and Steve manage to fix their marriage? Or is it too late for the couple?
