Coronation Street Spoilers: Summer Continues To Suffer From Health Horrors

Coronation Street: Summer Spellman Coronation Street spoilers school girl Summer Spellman will continue to suffer from her health conditions in upcoming episodes which will worry her loved ones and friends.

Coronation Street viewers have witnessed how poor Summer’s (Harriet Bibby) life has changed ever since she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes last year.

Her condition worsened when her fears crippled as the aftermath of Seb’s death resulted in her having anxieties. Not only those but also as a teenager trying to find her identity, her eating disorder intensified when her love interest teacher Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) rejected her over charming Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan).

‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – Bulimia Bad To Worse

Now that she’s getting into Oxford University, the pressure and stress combined will take a toll on her health which will trigger her eating disorder called bulimia to go from bad to worse.

Summer has been passionate about getting high grades and has no concern if she’s eating enough and on time. Silently battling bulimia, she panics when her adoptive parent Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) tells her to have a break and eat her lunch. But she escapes by assuring him she’ll eat in her room while she works.

According to Coronation Street spoilers, Todd (Gareth Pierce) also tells her to take a breather with her friends, but the achiever reasons out she rather get more revision done.

‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – Summer Knocks Back The Wine

Summer’s adoptive parents continue to urge her to take a night off and getting annoyed she gives in to their requests.

On a night out with friends, she heads off to the café to meet Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney), Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey), and Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher). However, their fun night turns deadly when Summer knocks back the wine and gets very drunk.

Her friends are worried about her insulin levels but when they try to stop her, Summer snaps at them, insisting to enjoy the night.

Can somebody stop her from causing more harm to herself before it leads to serious health concerns?

In an interview with Digital Spy last year, Summer’s Coronation Street portrayer Harriet Bibby revealed that her character doesn’t want to be told what to do, including in her medication.

“So yeah, I think we see a little bit of that teenage rebellion and difficulty with coming to terms with having to maintain doing your medication and things like that. It’s tricky,” she teased.

With Summer not taking her maintenance, not eating enough, and back on hitting the bottles, will these health concerns have a domino effect on her activities and on her relationship with the ones she love? How low will she spiral down?
