Fans may recall that she made a deal with Mike Hargrave (Tom Lorcan) and Esther Hargrave (Vanessa Hehir) to give them her child once she gives birth in exchange for money. However, Summer withheld the fact that she miscarried.

Aaron tried to warn her of the consequences of her actions but she argued that they were just borrowing the money so they can send Eric (Craig Cheetham) to a rehabilitation facility to cure his alcoholism.

Unfortunately, Mike discovered her plan. He started to grow suspicious after Summer showed them a 12-week scan, which she downloaded from the internet. He started to ask questions and Summer eventually came clean that she lost her child a few weeks ago. Mike was furious despite the pair’s explanation. He demanded that they pay him back all the money they spent or he’ll call the police.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Summer Spellman Agrees To Become A Surrogate

Summer decided to become a surrogate for Esther and Mike. However, Billy is against Summer’s decision. He tried to talk Mike and Esther out of their surrogacy plan but they argued that it was Summer’s decision and there was nothing they can do.

Billy planned to report the couple to the police but Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) managed to convince him to do otherwise. He explained that reporting the surrogacy to the police would reflect poorly on Summer. She could be in more trouble because she could be seen as a money-gramming con artist. He asked Billy if he can afford to take the risk of Summer going to prison.

Elsewhere, Griff Reynolds’ (Michael Condron) secret ally was revealed to be Maria Connor’s (Samia Longchambon) political enemy, Councillor Cameron (Mark Murphy). Griff demanded money from the corrupt politician so he could make more far-right videos. When asked what’s in it for him, Griff said that their actions would shift the political landscape to the right, which would be beneficial for the councillor.
