Imran (Charlie De Melo) had spent a night with someone after he exhaustingly defended Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) in court when the youngster’s name was dragged in Seb Franklin’s murder. It remained mysterious until it was revealed to be Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) a few weeks later.
In the upcoming scenes, Abi and Imran decide to meet at Victoria Garden and talk about the matter when the newlywed suspects she’s bearing a child and claims Imran to be the father. Abi tells the man that she will let Kevin (Michael Le Vell) know as soon as she sees a positive result in her pregnancy test, for her husband deserves to know the truth whatever the consequences she may face.
Corrie Spoilers – Welcoming Abi Franklin Into Their Home
Without noticing, Kevin approaches the two and asks what they’re talking about, which makes Abi lie to her husband, saying that they were just discussing Kelly. Later that day, Abi drops by at Imran’s flat, which makes the latter tense as it is Toyah (Georgia Taylor) who opens and welcomes Abi into their home.
Is Abi overwhelmed with guilt and will finally tell Toyah about her intimate night with Imran? Opposing being so understanding as he is, will Kevin finally find a reason to dump Abi?
Coronation Street Spoilers – Sally Carman Talks About The Upcoming Baby Drama In Weatherfield
As another twist of the soap is approaching, Sally Carman, the actress who plays the role of Abi Franklin, shared her thoughts about the baby and the tension between her character and Imran.
During her exclusive interview, Carman told Digital Spy: “She can’t believe she may be pregnant with Imran’s baby. It is unreal, it jeopardizes everything that she is now working for, it reminds her that she has lost three children already.”
“She doesn’t know if she is even capable of bringing up a child or would be allowed to bring up a child. What would it mean for her marriage? It is a total disaster,” she continued.
The 46-year-old actress was hoping for a better life for her character but looking forward to more dramas in the storyline as she doesn’t want Abi to live like in a fairytale story.
“I want all the drama, the misunderstandings, and the terrible mistakes. As her friend, I wish her well, but as the custodian of her, I wish her hell,” Carman said.
