A Special Maggie Driscoll Flashback Episode
Coronation Street is preparing to take us on a nostalgic journey in a unique episode that delves into the tumultuous history of Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn).
As Maggie celebrates her birthday, the atmosphere is thick with unspoken tension, prompting her to ponder her past experiences.
This special flashback episode transports us back in time, allowing us to uncover the intricate dynamics of the Driscoll family and revealing how Maggie evolved into such a formidable presence!
In the midst of her ongoing rivalry with Eva Price (Catherine Tyldelsey) we are left to speculate about the extent of her potential and what she might unleash. How far will Maggie go to solve her Eva problem?
Kit’s Damning Evidence
Meanwhile, Kit Green is piecing together the puzzle involving Becky Swain (Amy Cudden) and DI Costello (Daon Broni). Kit visits Weathy General to meet with Costello and is intrigued to learn that he was considering retirement in the Lake District.
When he brings this up to Lisa and Becky, he notices Becky’s unease; why was she aware of this while they were not? Later, Kit shares his worries with Carla, but they lack any evidence to support their suspicion that Costello and Becky have been collaborating.
As he departs, he encounters Becky and requests that she inform Lisa that Carla is at the factory, drinking a bottle of scotch alone.
Lisa Tells Carla It’s Too Late
However, as Carla pours herself another drink, Becky enters and shuts the door behind her. The following day, Costello’s wife comes to collect his personal belongings and shows Kit a photo of the house they purchased in Coniston.
A nameplate indicates ‘Ravensgill’, and after conducting some research, he discovers that it was acquired by a company just a week after Becky’s staged death.
Carla returns home to Lisa and expresses that she should never have left, admitting that her love for Lisa has never waned. Although Lisa feels the same, she insists that it is too late to mend their relationship – it is over.
Lauren Spots Something Strange About Will Driscoll
Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) observes a rather peculiar scene involving young Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) and his athletics coach, Megan Walsh ( Beth Nixon).
After an awkward moment where Will attempts to kiss Lauren, he finds himself in a position where he must offer an apology. Thankfully for him, she downplays the incident, allowing him to breathe a sigh of relief.
Yet, as the day unfolds, she makes her way to the precinct, where she unexpectedly encounters him in a heartfelt conversation with Megan, where he earnestly expresses his remorse regarding the kiss. Is it possible that Lauren has begun to realize the deeper implications of this situation?
Debbie Offends
Debbie is horrified to discover that she has reserved the wedding venue for 2027 instead of 2026.
She confides in Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) and Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine) about her concerns that she might be too unwell by then, and they assure her they will assist in finding another venue. She is thrilled when they inform her that Monkton Hall has an opening in three weeks.
As time is running out, she shares her desire to invite the couple to the celebration. Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) warns her that this might be a mistake, and when Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) catches wind of the plan, he angrily returns the invitation to her.
Tim Metcalfe And Gary Windass Both Have Worries In Separate Situations
Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) fears he might disappoint Joanie and Shanice Michaelis (Savanna Pennington, Molly Kilduff).
Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) and Tim are preparing a big buffet for Joanie’s friends for a party at their home, and they promise a visit with Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty) on Christmas Day.
However, Tim worries the kids will be let down if the prison doesn’t allow visitors. George Shuttlesworth (Tony Maudsley) and Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) discuss Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce), and she points out that they clearly miss each other and should work on their relationship.
But the next day, Gary Windass (Mikey North) hears a crash from Todd and Theo Silverton’s (James Cartwright) flat!
Gary’s Unsure About Shona’s Baby Shower
Coronation Street fans will recall that during David and Shona’s first ultrasound for the baby she is expecting, the scan revealed that the baby has a cancerous tumor.
Despite this, Shona chose not to terminate the pregnancy, seemingly clinging to the hope that the tumor’s diagnosis was incorrect-however, the baby would still require immediate surgery! David feels overwhelmed when he comes home to find the house filled with guests.
Shona has organized a baby shower in his absence, leaving him feeling quite uncomfortable about the situation.
Considering the high-risk nature of their baby, he believes that the celebration is inappropriate and expresses his concerns quite clearly!
