Carl’s Malicious Plot

Carl is seeking revenge and calls his friend Jez (Millen Brown) to discuss a plan to set fire to the Chariot Square Hotel. Jez, the shady right-hand man, arrives at the hotel and introduces himself to Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan), pretending to be a handyman looking for work.

While Ronnie is occupied, Jez takes the opportunity to quietly photograph the fire exits and CCTV cameras before making a quick getaway.

Later, the men meet up to review what Jez has observed, finalizing the fire plan. Just as Carl is about to leave, the situation shifts. Ronnie approaches Jez, snaps a photo of him with his phone, and gives a stern warning that Carl is trouble.

Ronnie Confronts Carl, And Debbie Is Taken Aback

This warning escalates into a confrontation-Ronnie confronts Carl, who reveals a shocking truth: Debbie is his mother, and she will always side with him.

Later, Carl tells Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) that he wants to file a report against Ronnie for assault, further intensifying the conflict. Meanwhile, in prison, Debbie is taken aback when a guard informs her that her son has scheduled a visit.

When they finally meet in the visiting area, Debbie assures him that once she is released, she will do everything possible to mend their relationship. Debbie desperately wants to make amends with her “brother”-son in spite of his using her!

Sam’s Suspicions

Sam is starting to suspect Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) more and more. He tells Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) that since his former step-mum Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) is away, he plans to study in the salon flat.

Meanwhile, Megan receives a call from Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) and informs him that she has the place to herself for a few nights.

Will, eager to take advantage of this, lies to his dad Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker), saying his friend has invited him to stay over.

Ben refuses – until later when Daniel shows up at the Rovers, awkwardly apologizes to Will, and they shake hands. Suddenly, Ben changes his mind and allows Will to stay at his friend’s after all.

Sam’s Plot To Prove Megan’s A Child Abuser

Before long, Will is on his way to No. 2A with a bag in hand, while Sam watches from afar as Megan lets him in. Later, Sam enters the flat, surprising Megan, and after she leaves, he clears some space on a shelf to set something up.

Megan soon tells Will about Sam coming in, insisting they need to win him over-Will devises a plan to befriend his rival and offers him vodka to hang out.

Sam agrees, seeing it as a chance to gather information from him; at the precinct, Will reassures Sam that whatever is happening with Megan is purely professional. Sam is skeptical, and the tension rises when Daniel suddenly shows up, causing Will to run away.

Sam Gets His Evidence-After A Glitch!

Sam is excited as he opens his hidden camera app and sees Megan and Will entering the flat… until the battery unexpectedly dies.

Later in the week, Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) asks Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) to come along with her, Leanne, and Megan for a girls’ night out.

Leanne playfully tells Toyah and Eva that she believes Megan and Daniel have been using the flat as their secret love nest.

At the bar, Megan confronts Sam to give him a quiet but chilling warning-if he ever reveals anything, no one will believe him, and he’s not as clever as he thinks he is. With his phone charged, Sam finally views the hidden camera footage; is this the end of Megan’s child abuse?

Mal Tries To Impress Bernie

Mal Roper (Tim Treloar) attempts to impress Bernie Winter-Alahan (Jane Hazlegrove), and proudly shows Brian Packham (Peter Gunn) a bag of crystals he bought, explaining that he has been studying their healing properties.

However, Bernie is not impressed; she quickly realizes his intentions-this isn’t about spiritual growth, it’s Mal trying to gain her favor.

Already feeling tense, she snaps, and Jodie notices that her irritation is directed at Mal; but will she use this to her advantage? Still determined, Mal embarks on a quest for information, asking Chesney Winter-Brown (Sam Aston) to find out Bernie’s favorite crystal.

Then he raises the stakes by inviting Bernie to his flat for some alone time-after everything, will Bernie play along, or see right through his act?

David Catches Jodie And Carl In The Act

David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) comes back home, seething with anger as he discovers Jodie and Carl in a compromising situation, intertwined in each other’s embrace.

He demands that Carl leave the house, not knowing that Jodie is actually delighted to receive her brother-in-law’s focus. But little does David-or most likely, Carl-realize that Jodie is just using Carl in order to make David jealous!

Will Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) pick up on the fact that Jodie is trying to seduce her partner? More importantly, will David eventually fall for Jodie’s tricks and cheat on Shona with her sister?

Debbie Makes An Enemy

In prison, Debbie makes a mistake and calls Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty) “Abi” (Abi Webster, played by Sally Carman-Duttine); she then softly shares that she has been diagnosed with young-onset dementia.

Another inmate, former hotel guest Paula (Kelli Hollis), recognizes her, and Lou quickly warns that the top dog is trouble and should be avoided.

However, before Lou can keep an eye on things, Paula confronts Debbie and pointedly reminds her that she once banned her from the hotel.

Later, in her cell, Debbie is trying to stay low when Paula suddenly bursts in, in tears, saying that her boyfriend has left her while he is in prison for aggravated burglary.

When Ronnie visits with Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell), he reveals that Carl told him that Debbie is his mother-Debbie confirms this, leaving the men with a lot to think about.

David Gets Lily A Job

David helps Lily land a job at The Kabin, and she’s thrilled-until he inadvertently reveals that the real benefit for him is having her out of his hair in the mornings.

The first day doesn’t go as planned, as she accidentally tosses an entire pile of newspapers into a bin-which are later found by Hope. She returns them to Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox), unwittingly exposing Lily’s secret.

Hope uses her discovery to persuade Rita to assist her with her Duke of Edinburgh award. But the scheme backfires when she makes a cheeky remark about Rita’s age, resulting in a chilly response.

Brian Approaches David And Shona Needing To Talk About Lily-Jodie Makes Trouble

Before too long, Brian Packham approaches David and Shona, expressing that he needs to have a serious conversation regarding Lily. Jodie seizes this opportunity to create some drama, informing Hope about how poorly Brian and Rita have treated Lily in the past.

When Hope stands up for them, Jodie slyly insinuates that they could be discussing her negatively when she’s not around.

This unsettling notion is further validated when Hope overhears Brian and Rita conversing in the Kabin about her difficult history.

Maggie Doesn’t Like Lauren, While Tim Is Jealous

Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn) confides in Ben and Eva that she isn’t particularly fond of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) and intentionally scheduled her shift to sabotage her upcoming date with Ollie (Raphael Akuwudike).

As the two lovebirds flirt behind the bar, a frustrated Maggie instructs Lauren to concentrate on her work-will she ever cease interfering in her family’s romantic affairs?

Meanwhile, a jealous Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) is nursing pints at the Rovers, disturbed to witness his best friend Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) sharing laughs with Ben.

When Steve steps away to the restroom, Tim makes it clear that he is Steve’s closest friend. It appears that the two men share even more similarities, leading them to engage in a game of darts together; but what implications will this have for poor Tim?
