Coronation Street Spoilers Week Of January 19: Jodie’s Out To Ruin Shona, Nina’s Suspicious, Tyrone’s Furious!Coronation Street spoilers and  updates for the week of January 19 reveal Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances Brown) is out to ruin Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) while Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) is suspicious. Plus, Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) is close to discovering a secret, and Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) is furious!

Ben Is Close To Discovering A Secret

Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) clashes with Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn) over selling her Rovers share.

Eva acts surprised when Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) says she wants to buy Maggie out, but Maggie quickly catches on. They argue when Leanne offers £160k for her share, and Maggie trips over Leanne’s bag.

Ben feels unwell and is rushed to the hospital, heading towards his son Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson Wale) and his groomer Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon). They don’t know Ben is feeling sick while getting the beer delivery-he grabs his chest in pain and has heart palpitations.

Will Wonders If Megan Is Sick

Meanwhile, Will wonders if Megan is sick after she says she’s going away; they’re at A&E, not realizing Ben is also on his way to the hospital.

As Ben recovers, Eva and Maggie agree to stop fighting for his health, while Will urges Megan to break up with Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) because it hurts him to see them together.

She goes to dinner with him and appreciates his apology for being too forward. However, she’s shocked when he suggests reporting the teen to Mrs Orla Crawshaw (Carla Mendonça) for harassment.

Later, one of Will’s old friends from Hull, Lee (uncredited), arrives in Weatherfield-he takes a call from Megan and asks her to meet him in the ginnel; what are they up to?

Jodie Is Out To Ruin Shona

Shona Platt’s estranged sister, Jodie is making waves in Weatherfield. She appears determined to drag her sibling’s name through the mud, while Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) reveals the details of how he discovered her on the night of the multi-vehicle accident.

Once alone with Shona, Jodie chooses to bring up their troubled past and confront her sister for leaving her with their terrible parents.

It’s evident that she is on a quest to tarnish Shona’s reputation. She’s starting to whisper toxic tales into Lily Platt’s (Brooke Malonie) ear about their history.

Jodie’s Startled By The Sight Of Kit Green And Bolts

The following day, as the sisters make their way to Roy’s Rolls for breakfast, Jodie is startled by the sight of Kit and bolts. Naturally, Shona is curious, and when Jodie provides no explanations, she turns to the officer for answers.

He recounts that they crossed paths in the woods near Connelton after the car crash, and he discovered her wrists tied with cable ties. To him, it appeared as though she was attempting to flee from someone.

Jodie Has A Meltdown After Going To A Domestic Violence Support Group

Meanwhile, Jodie participates in a domestic violence support group, where she listens closely to another attendee recount her experiences of abuse inflicted by her partner.

Upon returning to No. 8, Jodie starts to experience a meltdown, prompting Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) to alert David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) and Shona about her behavior. Later on, Jodie volunteers to help out at the caff during Nina’s absence and shares a flirtatious exchange with Carl.

Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine) cautions her against this. Meanwhile at the hospital, Shona informs David that she is attempting to locate their dad to understand what transpired.

Nina’s Suspicious Of Roy’s Penpal

In the midst of his intriguing pen pal mystery, Roy Cropper (David Neilson) embarks on the journey of composing yet another letter to Alice, a character who has not yet been cast.

Meanwhile, Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) playfully teases him, suggesting that it might be the perfect moment to elevate their relationship to a more serious level, which leaves Roy feeling quite offended.

As the conversation unfolds, the two delve into a discussion about the authenticity of Alice, pondering the likelihood that she could be a catfisher. However, the question remains: is she truly everything she appears to be?

Hope For ‘Swarla’ Thanks To Hayley?

In the meantime,  there might be hope for ‘Swarla’ thanks to the late Hayley Cropper (Julie Hesmondhalgh).

Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) is trying to play matchmaker in a desperate effort to restore her family dynamic, attempting to bring Carla Connor (Alison King) and Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) back together.

Roy is feeling reflective and informs Lisa that it’s the anniversary of Hayley’s death, and he plans to visit the boating lake where he scattered her ashes.

After their talk, he encourages Carla to reconcile with her ex-fiancée, as Hayley would want her to find happiness. Carla acknowledges that their late loved one would also wish for Roy to be happy.

Carla Is Shocked By Ryan’s Delivery

The following day, Carla is shocked when Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) gives her a letter from Lisa, inviting her to lunch at the Bistro. Unable to resist, she texts Lisa back but turns off her phone while dining with a client at the hotel.

Lisa is infuriated by being ignored and storms into the restaurant, creating a scene before drowning her sorrows at the bar, later waking up with no memory of it.

Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) stops by No. 6 to deliver some mail to Carla and starts to share her feelings about her marriage troubles.

She feels overwhelmed and frustrated with her own situation and calls Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) to take his wife home.

Tyrone’s Furious!

Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) is confronted by the fury of Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall). Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) is feeling deeply unsettled after recent incidents and gazes at a picture of himself and Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) during better days.

In a fit of rage, he starts to wreck his living room, catching the attention of Tyrone. Ty is shocked to see the destruction Carl has caused and heads to the Street Cars flat to face him. Armed with his crutch, he forces Carl against the wall and demands to know the truth.
