Coronation Street spoilers and updates for the week of November 17 tease Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) manipulates, while Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) lashes out.
Plus, Abi Webster (Sally Carmine-Duttine) worries, David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) spills, and Carla Connor’s (Alison King) on the warpath!
Theo Manipulates
Theo intensifies his manipulation of Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) next week, trying to sabotage his working relationship with George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley).
Theo intentionally puts Todd’s shift at risk by tossing all of his white shirts into the washing machine and leaving. George panics when Todd fails to show up for work, later finding out that his alarm didn’t ring and he overslept.
Angry with Todd’s actions, George asks Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) for help with a service instead. Unaware of the manipulation, Todd is excited about Theo’s support.
Theo Keeps It Up
The following day, Theo prepares breakfast for Todd and blames his love for junk food for his poor choices. This comment is disheartening, and it gets worse when Theo talks about his plans to reconnect with Pete Lang (Andrew Hayden-Smith) for a business deal.
When Todd expresses his worries, Theo snaps back, reminding him that he is the only one in the house earning money, leaving Todd with no choice. When Pete mentions that there is competition for his contract, Theo invites him to dinner at the flat.
Todd is shocked to see him arrive and tries to remain calm when Theo insists they must do whatever is necessary to secure the job.
Sally Lashes Out
Tension arises for the Metcalfes when Sally confronts Trisha Pinkerton (Anita Booth) in a dramatic showdown.
Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) grows increasingly worried that the children might sense the underlying tension between him and Sally. This prompts them to decide on a lunch outing at the Bistro to distract themselves from the brewing storm.
However, the moment Sally catches sight of Trisha sharing a meal with a young teenage boy, her anger boils over, and she can’t help but react.
To her surprise, Trisha clarifies that the boy is actually her nephew; later on, when Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) inquires about the unfolding drama, Tim loses his temper.
Abi Worries
Abi is anxious about missing her counselling session when Alfie Franklin’s (Carter and Oakley Razak Townsend) nursery teacher informs her that he is unwell. Roy Cropper (David Neillson) suggests that Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) pick him up, but they don’t get along well.
When Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) sees them, he is eager to pass the responsibility to Carl. But he reassures Abi that he is content with their new life and is committed to starting over together.
Carl Tries To Distract Abi With Romance
Later, Carl fills their flat with candles to set a romantic mood. Abi is thrilled, but when she steps away to use the bathroom, he takes the opportunity to cancel a call on her phone for some private time.
The following day, Jack Webster (Kyran Bowes) ignores Abi in the street, prompting her to go to the Rovers to unwind.
There, she runs into Tracy McDonald, (Kate Ford) who starts teasing her about her parenting, claiming that Alfie can only depend on Kevin Webster. Enraged, Abi retaliates with a punch, and Kevin witnesses the entire incident.
David Spills
Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) is hesitant to inform the family about the health concerns regarding their unborn daughter, yet David insists that they should be more transparent. An ultrasound had revealed a tumor on the fetus’ neck, which could be cancerous.
While at the Bistro, he spills to Nick Tilsey (Ben Price), Toyah Habeeb (Georgia Taylor), and Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) what the sonographer told them, leading to a barrage of urgent inquiries. In a fit of emotion and anger, Shona abruptly leaves the scene.
Carla’s On The Warpath!
Today marks the special anniversary of Carla and Lisa Swain’s (Vicky Myers) first kiss, a moment that has remained etched in their hearts. To celebrate this beautiful occasion, they have planned an entire day filled with delightful surprises and treats.
However, their joyous celebration takes an unexpected turn when the police approach Carla, requesting her presence at the station to address a complaint related to alleged fraudulent activities in Underworld.
Carla has a strong suspicion that Becky Swain ( Amy Cudden) is the one orchestrating this trouble. And once she is released from the station, she is determined to confront the situation head-on!
