Coronation Street Spoilers: What’s Next For Sophie Webster – Will Brooke Vincent Ever Return

Rumours have been circulating that Brooke Vincent is leaving “Coronation Street.” The actress, who plays Sophie Webster, have been off screen since last autumn. She’s been on maternity leave after giving birth to her son, Mexx, with partner Kean Bryan. Now the soap has confirmed the status of the actress on the sudser.

Vincent announced the birth of her first child on Instagram. “On Wednesday 23rd October at 8.14am Our Baby Boy Arrived. Mexx S J Bryan, you complete us,” she posted.

While she’s been away, reports have come up saying that her contract is set to expire in May and the actress is yet to sign a new deal with the show that entails her return to the sudser as Sophie.

Because the actress’ status on the soap seemed to have been left hanging, speculations have come up claiming that the actress has no plans to reprise her role. “Coronation Street” has finally addressed the rumours and clarified that Vincent can return anytime she wants as soon as she’s ready.

“There was never a fixed return date for Brooke, and there is no pressure for her to return within any particular time frame,” a “Coronation Street” spokesperson said.  “The door has been left open for her at any point in the future, whenever that might be,” the spokesperson continued.

Coronation Street Spoilers: Sophie’s Last Appearance On The Show

Sophie was last seen on screen leaving Weatherfield back in October to go traveling to Cambodia. At that time, she also got a part of Aunty Vi’s estate from dad Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell).

She also put her relationship with Paula Martin (Stirling Gallacher) on hold. Since then, Paula got herself involved with Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford), whom she had a one night stand with. But recently, she’s been dealing with legal issues, which have left her with no time for other shenanigans.

At the time when she announced her pregnancy, the actress said, “We’re both each other’s biggest fans and having a baby together will add an extra bond. ‘Kean brings out the best in me and it makes me so excited that we’re on this journey together.”

“‘I like to think I’m the boss of our relationship but Kean has a really wise head on his shoulders, so I know he’ll be a brilliant dad,” she continued.

There’s no news yet as to when Vincent will return but she’s definitely enjoying her time with her family while she’s away.
