Coronation Street Star Todd Boyce Talks About Stephen Reid’s Recent Storyline

In one of the previous episodes of the longest-running soap, Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) was involved in some business deals after Carla Connor (Alison King) caught Sarah Barlow (Tina O’Brien) working on some designs for their rival company. It all started when Sarah decided to give up her work at the lingerie factory under the supervision of Carla. She then made some plans with Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) and her uncle Stephen to deal with businessman Rufus.
However, things have gone wrong when the Underworld manager realized that Sarah and Michael have been using her resources and company to come up with their business. On the other hand, Carla chose to forgive them and decided to finish the designs and have Rufus sign the deal. She also vowed Stephen a 15% commission if he can successfully bring their ideal businessman back on board.

In the recent scenes of “Coronation Street,” the iconic villain made his way to the hotel to encourage Rufus to sign the deal. However, the moment has been quite difficult for Stephen as the businessman convinced him to try some illegal substances. Rufus offered him some LSD to make him “see things.”
Meanwhile, paramedics stepped into the scene when Rufus collapsed into the floor, and in a short while, his sex worker turned up. After that troubled moment, Stephen heard the businessman talking sweetly to his wife. He then approached the sex worker and record a message about their hook-up, thinking that he might use it against Rufus to force him to sign the deal.

In his recent interview with Digital Spy, Todd Boyce expressed his thoughts regarding his villainous character, Stephen Reid. “He always has an answer. He has ingenious ways of getting out of situations. He is such a good liar. I think he must have always had that in him,” the actor stated.
Moreover, Boyce also shared the recent video he watched on YouTube, a “Corrie” scene, in which Alma slapped Stephen. He then realized that he was “doing the exact same slight adjustment” of his voice that he does with his character today. “It seems without knowing it, I have walked right back in where I left off,” he stated, thinking that Stephen was always “smart” and “manipulative.”
