For weeks now Carla has been doing whatever she can to get Alya out of the picture. Alya, meanwhile, has been digging her heels in as she refuses to relinquish her control of the factory. After all, that’s what Aidan left in his will. And even though Carla and Beth (Lisa George) have been plotting to sabotage the business, Alya has managed to enjoy some recent success on her own.
But things will soon come crashing down for Alya when she is mysteriously given a DVD interview conducted with Aidan where he spoke about his role as a kidney donor. As Alya listens to the interview, she becomes very emotional. She also realizes that Aidan loves his family very much and that he was willing to do whatever he could in his power to help them while he was still alive.

And now Coronation Street spoilers indicate that the interview might give Alya a huge change of heart. In fact, she might even be willing to build bridges and make a compromise with Carla. That is, if Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) doesn’t get in the middle of it.
