Coronation Street Spoilers: Is Peter Barlow Going To Die?

Could Weatherfield be seeing yet another tragic death this year? That’s what fans can’t help but wonder as new Coronation Street spoilers indicate that Peter Barlow’s life might be in danger.

As a matter of fact, Peter is shot in horror scenes, leaving many viewers wondering if this is the last they will see of the character. Peter was shot by Simon’s gang tormentor Tyler, leaving Carla Connor terrified that she might lose him forever.

This all happened after Simon returned with Ken from his trip to Cornwall. Simon then received a threatening text from the young thug, which left him shaken up to his core. As Simon returns from court with a referral order, he has his reservations about giving any evidence against Tyler. After all, this is the same person who viciously attacked Flora McArdle during a burglary.

It’s pretty obvious that he is the kind of person who is willing to do just about anything. Later on, two masked teens grab Simon from the street and force him inside a car. Kate sees everything go down and tries to pull Simon to safety.

Peter is shocked to see this and vows to protect him. That’s when they notice Tyler in a nearby car. He points his gun at Peter and shoots him in the chest as Carla screams in horror. Fans will just have to tune in to find out what will happen to him next! Coronation Street airs weeknights on the ITV network and is available on Britbox in the United States.

The main reason as to why I am a faithful viewer of Coronation Street is that it does not drag on the story lines. Many serial dramas stretch these story lines to such an extent that the viewer forgets how it began or who the original players were…Corrie doesn’t fall into that pit. I love the way it solves the issue, closes the book, but always comes back with small references, reminding us details just in case we may have missed an episode or couldn’t quite grasp how they closed the story line. They have a unique way of celebrating loving characters of days gone by…such as the beauty held within Adan, even though the end of his life, no one (even us, the viewers) were not aware how he truly was struggling through each and every day. I thought it was beautiful the way they wrote his exit. The writers kept his memory strong, loving, dedicated, and we must remember how he lovingly gave up an organ to his cousin so that she could live a life; one that he found depressing and torturous. I must have cried for days. It was amazing how the writers injected the viewers with the necessary strength it took to understand that Adan’s actions came from a place where he was unable to turn to anyone he loved and tell them of the black cloud of pain that was consuming him as the days passed. In my opinion, his last note said it all…don’t go into the bathroom, call the police. He didn’t want anyone to see him in that state, even in the end, he wanted to spare those he loved. Incredible..the entire Coronation Street team is amazing and I can hardly wait for story lines to come…I am an incredibly loyal watcher.
