Kimberly Hart-Simpson was known for playing a sex worker, Nicky Wheatley, in the longest-running soap in the world. She was last seen in Weatherfield last September 2020 having a close relationship with Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) as he was still grieving for his late wife, Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn).
Earlier this year, the iconic Nicky Wheatley stepped foot into the cobbles once again as Daniel’s co-worker at Weatherfield High School. However, she lost her job when Max Turner spread the video and picture of her as a sex worker. In her recent scenes, Nicky was seen confessing her feelings for Daniel, but the latter was caught with some personal issues, including his failed relationship with Daisy.
Coronation Street Spoilers – Kimberly Hart-Simpson Shares About Hart-Work
In one of her recent Q&A sessions on Instagram, one fan asked why she left the longest-running show. The 35-year-old actress said that she just came back to Weatherfield for a certain storyline that was now completed. However, there was no big scene for her to leave the show, so maybe there will be something for her in the future.
As of now, Hart-Simpson spends most of her time volunteering at the British Heart Foundation. “Most of you know that I work with the British Heart Foundation very closely, and today, I’m starting back at my volunteer role in the shop,” she told her followers.
Hart-Simpson also shared about her fashion company, Hart-Work, which she started last 2018. “Working as a professional actor for over a decade, I picked up a sewing machine in 2018 when work was dry, but my creative mind wasn’t!” the actress uttered.
Coronation Street Spoilers – Kimberly Hart-Simpson Joins the Cast of ‘Cinderella’
The iconic Nicky Wheatly of “Corrie” recently announced that she will be joining the casts of “Cinderella” at St. Helens Theatre Royal this Christmas. Before she came to the cobbles, Hart-Simpson worked at Theatre Royal and Epstein Theatre as a seamstress.
She also expressed her thoughts about working in front of an audience. “It will feel a bit strange being out front on the stage and seeing the audience instead of looking after all those incredible stunning costumes – but now I’m going to be wearing them, so it’s the best for both worlds,” Hart-Simpson said per Digital Spy.
