Coronation Street’s Elaine Jones Survives Stephen’s Murder Plan

Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Elaine was back on her feet and called for help following Stephen’s murder plan.

In the previous episode of the longest-running soap, Stephen ended up frustrated when Elaine refused to support his desire to purchase the Underworld. Instead, the woman suggested focusing on their retirement and planning for their future together. Unpleased with the idea, the popular villain planned a way to get rid of Elaine, especially since Carla (Alison King) told him about selling the company to Owen.

Later in the week, Stephen (Todd Boyce) switched his fiancée’s blood pressure tablets with caffeine pills, leading Elaine (Paula Wilcox) to feel unwell after taking her medications. When the woman opened up about her situation, Stephen faked a concerned gesture and offered to get something to eat. The moment he left the room, Elaine got dizzy and hit her head when she lost consciousness.

When Stephen found the woman on the floor, he immediately walked out of the scene. He hoped that Elaine will soon meet her end, so he can cash in the life insurance policy. However, the villain unsuccessfully killed another soul when Elaine woke up and dialed 999.

Though he was pissed with what happened, Stephen pretended to be concerned with the woman when she was rushed to the hospital. Tim (Joe Duttine) and Sally (Sally Dynevor) joined the villain as they waited for the doctor’s news. Meanwhile, Stephen got disappointed when the doctor announced that the patient would be able to return home the next day.

Back in their apartment, Tim opened up to Sally about his doubts over Stephen as he extremely believed that the villain has got something to do with Elaine’s hospitalization. “You don’t just pass out for no reason, do you?” the man uttered. On the other hand, Sally rejected Tim’s idea of letting Elaine stay with them and she pointed out that Stephen really takes care of the woman.

“I’ve got a funny feeling… I’m telling you, there’s something that just doesn’t add up about his story,” Tim continued to get suspicious. Meanwhile, in the Underworld factory, Stephen received another bad news as he was caught in one of his lies.
