Coronation Street’s Leanne Battersby Defends Ryan Over Scar Comments

Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Leanne stood up for Ryan after hearing some undesirable statements about his acid scars.

In the previous episode of the longest-running soap, Ryan got to express his disappointment to Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) after pretending to be Crystal. Following all the unfortunate events of his life lately, he decided to leave the past behind. Determined to gain his confidence back, the acid victim went to the pub without his hood on. However, he ended up disheartened when Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) gave him insensitive comments about his scars.

As a result, Ryan (Ryan Prescott) lifted his hood again so people couldn’t see the changes in his face. Despite everything he has gone through, he put on his brave heart and decided to get back on track. Though he was still worried about what people might say, the man told Carla (Alison King) about his plans to go back to work. Meanwhile, the acid victim opens up to Leanne (Jane Danson) about his desire to return to the bistro.

In the recent episode of “Coronation Street,” the beloved character took his first shift after the traumatic acid attack. Debbie (Sue Devaney) also expressed her excitement when she saw Ryan behind the bar as she entered the bistro.

Meanwhile, a group of children enjoyed a birthday celebration and the man happily served them some drinks.

Everything went well until one adult approached Leanne and stated her concern about the man. She asked if somebody else can serve them their drinks and other orders as the children might be scared of his appearance.

Believing that the bistro might get some negative reviews online due to Ryan’s scars, the woman pointed out that it is much better if he will be out of sight.
