Eastenders spoilers reveal Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) hasn’t hit rock bottom yet. Despite the teasers for Christmas and New Year’s Eve, those also won’t be what sets her on the right path again. The actress recently hinted that things will get a whole lot worse before they get better.

As fans recall, Linda’s problem became known to Michael “Mick” Carter (Danny Dyer) when she had to appear in court for drunk driving. He burst in the doors just as she was entering her guilty plea. Despite the serious legal consequences, though, Linda doesn’t believe she has a problem.

Eastenders spoilers tease that Mick will continue to be concerned about Linda’s alcohol consumption. She even showed up to a meeting with their child’s teacher and had alcohol on her breath. She told Mick that it was a wine sample at the shopping center and shrugged it off. However, a tiny wine sample wouldn’t have her breath reeking like a brewery.

Eastenders Spoilers: Trigger to be Revealed
It is revealed that the trigger for Linda’s alcohol abuse will be made known after New Year’s Eve. It is during this time that things will get really bad. If viewers thought she had hit rock bottom, she’s not quite there yet. In fact, fans will be shocked at the things she does during New Year’s Eve, but there is still more “horrendous” drunken acts to come.
“… you might actually think she has hit rock bottom at New Year’s Eve, but then there is more! There is more to come… Having said that, her New Year’s Eve is pretty out there – it’s unbelievable and she does some horrendous things.”

Speaking to Digital Spy, Bright mentioned what it will take for Linda to stop drinking. The actress hinted that it might take something as extreme as losing her family.
“It would literally take Linda losing her family for her to confront her problems.”
