EastEnders Spoilers: A Major Character Is Planning To Exit Soon

EastEnders spoilers indicate that another huge character might be leaving the show very soon. The town of Walford will soon be rocked again, as there still is plenty of drama ahead!

As many fans know, Carmel Kazemi was left devastated when her young son Shakil was stabbed to death earlier this year. As a matter of fact, it rocked the entire town as the young man’s funeral moved everyone to tears.

Since then, EastEnders spoilers have revealed that Carmel has been a shadow of her former self as she’s still trying to come to terms with he loss of her son.

And now spoilers indicate that Carmel, played by actress Bonnie Langford, will soon be leaving. She told The Daily Star in an interview, “I’ve had a wonderful three and a half years at EastEnders and it’s been a privilege to be part of such an iconic show. My current storyline has been such an incredible experience and I’m honored to be part of something so powerful and poignant.”

Thankfully, fans will still be seeing Carmel around, but how she will leave EastEnders is anyone’s guess. There’s been some speculation that writers might revisit her Brugada heart syndrome or that she might have an ending that is just as devastating as her son’s.

Bonnie added, “However as I’ve known since the beginning of this storyline, it would always lead to Carmel having to take a break from Walford. I’m not leaving just yet though and there is still plenty more to come from Carmel.”
