Jo, who plays Tanya Cross, has returned to Eastenders as part of the Branning sisters’ exit storylines. Abi has died and Lauren has left for a new and better life in Scotland. And according to one eagle-eyed viewer, now might be a perfect time for Tanya to return and here’s why.
Apparently, Honey Mitchell has just received a text from her new beau, dentist Adam Bateman. He’s organized a date for them at a high-end restaurant. But when he called to make reservations, he could be heard saying, “Susan, table booked for 7 pm. Adam.”

But there was a little confusion from viewers as to who Susan was – it’s actually Honey’s real name. So does this mean that viewers will see the return of Jo? Possibly, but it hasn’t been confirmed just yet. One fan said on Twitter, “EastEnders have introduced a new character called Adam so it’s safe for Jo Joyner to come back now.”
Of course, fans will just have to tune in to see if she will be coming back now that there’s an Adam waiting for her in Albert Square. Jo has been with Eastenders for over 12 years and has reprised her role quite frequently. It’s without a doubt that fans would love to see her character in action once again.
