The 37-year-old star together with her husband, Tom Pitfield, boosted their company up to £10,000 a month using the furlough scheme despite Tyldesley’s several show business projects.

Coronation Street Spoilers  – The Public Expressed Their Thoughts

The public expressed their thoughts that rich companies and celebrities should not take advantage of the taxpayers’ money where it’s meant for the small businesses who are striving to survive in these trying times.

“It is understandable that some businesses furloughed staff given the unprecedented circumstances of the past year,” TaxPayer’s Alliance speaker, John O’Connell told the media.

“However, covid had a massive impact upon the economy and now every penny really does count. Some businesses have repaid the support offered to them by taxpayers,” he added.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Ex-Corrie Star Catherine Tyldesley Turned Down Corrie’s Comeback Offer For Eva Price

Tyldesley graced the television screens for the last 18 months as one of the celebrity contestants on “Cooking with the Stars” and the drama series “Viewpoint” and it’s the reason why the soap star, who has appeared on Corrie between 2011 and 2018, had to reject Corrie’s offer for a comeback with character Eva Price last year.

In an exclusive interview with Digital Spy last April, the actress revealed she was “gutted” to turn down the offer following Leanne’s little boy Oliver’s death.

“And they reached out to me, and it was so unfortunate that I’d already signed to do Viewpoint and the dates, we just couldn’t make it work.”

“As a Corrie fan, I felt like I’d let people down! Because I really – I’m not one of those actresses that will say ‘no I’m done with Corrie I won’t go back’, I felt like they presented me with this storyline and I was like ‘oh my gosh yeah of course she’d be there, it’s her sister’ and I was just really gutted actually that we couldn’t make it work,” she revealed.

The star also expressed she’d “nip back” because “Coronation Street” was a huge part of her life.
