Emmerdale and coronation street may be off the air this Summer because of the virus that is going around. The shows have had to put their productions on hold because of the virus that is going around and have adjusted their schedules to preserve the episodes that they have left. Will they be back by Summer, or will Emmerdale and Coronation street be off the air this Summer?
The Production Put On Hold
As viewers know, Coronation Street and Emmerdale tried to keep production going for as long as they could. However, with the spread of the Coronavirus becoming worse and the advice of staying home being the norm, they ultimately decided to put a pause on production. This also forced them to look at their schedule in order to preserve episodes. However, with this happening, will they be able to recover before Summer, or will they have to go off air for the Summer?
New Episodes May Not Air This Summer
There has not been any word from ITV about what will happen if they run out of episodes before they are allowed to start filming. As they have only addressed what will happen in the next six weeks. However, when the production starts back up, then things should go back to normal. However, this would depend on how they choose to handle the situation and will depend on when they are able to go back to filming. If the shows are able to start filming soon, then Summer episodes should be expected. However, it might not take the shows long to be able to come back on the air.
With the virus keeping production on pause, there is no telling when they will be able to go back to filming. However, many of our favorite British soaps are still hard at work, working on scripts so that they will be ready when production starts back up. What do you think?
