Joseph A. Maldonado, also known as Joe Exotic, is still serving his 21-year sentence for involvement in a murder-for-hire plot. This week, he publicly reached out to Lara Trump and maybe Savannah Chrisley, presumably seeking help for a presidential pardon. The jailed Tiger King personality, as detailed by Netflix, has often tried to get influential people to help him in the past. Read on to find out more.
The Public Appeal
Savannah secured a presidential pardon for her mom and dad, Todd and Julie Chrisley, presumably with the help of some attorneys. She already appeared on My View with Lara Trump on Fox and the Instagram account shared that the Chrisleys would give an interview on the popular channel this coming Saturday.
Seeing the post, it obviously made sense for Joe Exotic to take the opportunity to get noticed. Quickly, he penned, “That’s awesome when can we talk.” Not that anyone important replied to him, including Savannah. Those who did respond told him he belonged in jail and advised him to give it up.
A commenter wrote, “bro tax fraud vs. murder. Even if they did do tax evasion (I know they didn’t ) still ain’t murder.”

Another one responded by writing “Let it go, Joe. You’re where you need to be.”
Previous Attempts To Get Help
Joe Exotic was sentenced to 21 years in federal prison for his involvement in a 2017 murder-for-hire plot targeting animal welfare activist Carole Baskin. Since then, he appealed to Kim Kardashian. This came in May last year, when he responded to a post by Kendall Jenner.
He wrote, “Have your sister reach out please. I want to show her the videos of them all admitting to perjury. She helps those wrongfully incarcerated, right?” Previously, he’d tried a direct appeal to Kim’s account, suggesting that he had evidence that could prove him innocent.
Jesse Meester Failed

At one stage, the former zookeeper tried to get 90 Day Fiancé star Jesse Meester to help. Quite how much influence he has in the USA is debatable. Still, it seems that if Joe throws enough arrows out there, someone might help. At the time, he hoped that Jesse would help him get a pardon from then-President Biden.
The next that fans heard, Joe appealed directly to President Trump, not through the correct channels, but once again via the media. On March 7, the Tiger King star spoke with The Sun, and pleaded with President Trump not to deport his new husband, Jorge Marquez. As Marquez is Mexican, he was a high priority for deportation and was set to leave America in May.
Joe’s hints of self-harm if his prison husband was deported didn’t change anything. Marquez was indeed sent to Mexico, and now Joe pins his hopes on Lara Trump or Savannah Chrisley. Or, perhaps both.
