On August 14, 2025, Todd Chrisley returned to FPC Pensacola where he had been incarcerated. He was a guest speaker at a drug abuse program graduation. In a follow-up rant, Tiger King’s Joe Exotic also wanted to be a voice for prison reform.
Joe Wants In On Todd’s Reform
Since his 2025 pardon, Chrisley has been advocating for prison reform alongside his daughter, Savannah. He now focuses on improving conditions and programs, viewing the work as his life’s purpose.
Some of Todd Chrisley’s followers were surprised that he spoke at the prison, but he was invited and addressed issues like mold, poor hygiene, and repeat offender rates. True to form, he didn’t hold back.
After backlash from a staff member, he ranted about it. However, things got interesting when Joe Exotic popped up in the Instagram comments. He wants to work with Todd on prison reform.

How Can Joe Help?
Over the years since his incarceration, the personality profiled in Tiger King on Netflix has approached a number of folks to help him get out of prison.
They include people like Kim Kardashian, 90 Day Fiancé star Jesse Meester, and even Lara Trump. Now, he’s reached out to Todd Chrisley, who served two and a half years for alleged fraud and tax-related offenses.
In his comments, where Chrisley reminded everyone that he has all the evidence to back up his claims of prisoner abuse, Joe responded:
@toddchrisley much respect. Now please team up. With me and let’s expose it all. The evidence I have is overwhelming…DM me

It’s not known whether Todd sent Joe a DM, but for his efforts, someone trolled him in the replies. Joe Exotic isn’t in Pensacola, which is shutting down, but is instead at the Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
Similarities & Differences
While Savannah Chrisley campaigned against prison abuse from the start of her mom and dad’s incarceration, Joe Exotic didn’t really speak out on behalf of others. Instead, he focused on his own release.
Todd Chrisley’s imprisonment was for financial crimes, often called “white-collar crime,” involving bank fraud and tax evasion. Joe Exotic, on the other hand, was incarcerated for very different offenses. His convictions included orchestrating a murder-for-hire plot against Carole Baskin and violating wildlife protection laws related to his private zoo.
One recent story involved Joe Exotic wanting a directive from Trump so he could be transferred to Mexico to be near his new husband. It’s not clear if he’s into prison reform as much as Todd, who is certainly delivering on his promise to campaign for it.
