Lisa Marie Presley, the only daughter of Elvis Presley, passed away on January 12 aged 54 – a few days after attending the premiere of Austin Butler’s “Elvis”.
Even though the cause of death is yet to be determined, her family’s past with heart disease leaves fans suggesting she died of a possible cardiac arrest.
Since her death, she has been honored by many in the entertainment industry, with Austin Butler, who plays Elvis Presley in the latest biopic about the legendary musician, writing that he’ll miss her.
She will be laid to rest at Graceland and honored with a memorial service on Sunday, January 22.

Lisa Marie Presley will be laid to rest at her father’s Graceland estate. It is where, as Deadline pointed out, she wished to be buried per the lyrics of her 2003 song, “Lights Out”.
“Someone turned the lights out there in Memphis,” she sang. “Ooh, that’s where my family’s buried and gone (gone)/Oh yeah/Last time I was there I noticed a space left/Oh, next to them there in Memphis, yeah/In the damn back lawn.”
On January 16, a representative for Lisa Presley’s daughter, Riley Keough, issued a statement, revealing funeral plans for the deceased star. “Riley, Harper, Finley, and Priscilla are grateful for the support, well-wishes, and outpouring of love honoring their beloved Lisa Marie. A public memorial service has been arranged on the front lawn of Graceland at 9:00 am on Sunday, January 22 in Memphis,” the statement shared with PEOPLE read.
The singer-songwriter is survived by her mother, actress and businesswoman Priscilla Presley, 77; and her three daughters, Riley, 33, and twins Finley and Harper Lockwood, 14. In 2020, her only son, Benjamin Keough died by suicide at age 27.

Following the death of the star, David Kessler revealed that he spent time with Lisa Presley at her father and son’s resting place, which will soon become hers.
“Graceland was her happy place and the employees who all knew her shared that she was looking so much better. She looked more at peace and was so proud of the Elvis movie,” he said. “Saturday night we sat at the graves of her father and son. We talked about the heartbreak she grew up with and the more recent devastation of her son’s death. She showed me where she would be buried someday. I said a long time from now …and she said yes, I have so much to do.”
