Relli’s attorneys Jamal Tooson and Brian Hurwitz said in a joint statement while recounting the shooting incident to ‘Rolling Stone’ that: “Unbeknownst to Mr. Ephron, A$AP Rocky was not just planning for a conversation and came armed with a semi-automatic handgun,” they said. “After arriving at the location, a conversation ensued whereby without provocation, warning, or any justification, A$AP Rocky produced the handgun and intentionally fired multiple shots at Mr. Ephron.”

A$AP Rocky — About Rocky’s Not Guilty Plea

On Wednesday, August 17, Rocky went to court and pleaded not guilty to the charges labeled against him by his ex-friend Relli. After Rocky was seated, Rocky only spoke when he was asked to confirm his name and when he acknowledged that his rights have been read to him, Rocky went on to plead not guilty to the rest of the charges.

Before the court hearing and the not guilty plea from Rocky, George Gascón who is the Los Angeles County District Attorney explained the charges that Rocky would be facing if found guilty of firing shots at Relli. George said that firing a gun publicly is a very dangerous and serious offense and even if the gun didn’t hit Relli, there’s a very high percentage of a stray bullet hitting an innocent bystander who had nothing to do with what was going on with Rocky and Relli.
