Actress Shannen Doherty is most often associated with Beverly Hills, 90210. However, she starred in other TV and movie roles, Back in the day, she gained fame for her roles on television shows like Charmed, as well as other movies.

It’s been nearly a decade since cancer landed in the life of the actress. Back in 2015, she heard that she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Sadly, by 2020, she’d faced several rounds of remissions, and it came back by reaching stage 4. Unfortunately, cancer took a toll on her life and marriage, and this year, she filed for divorce from Kurt Iswarienko. Right now, she’s in a bad place, and it seems extremely unfortunate that her life turned upside down.
Shannen Doherty is loved not only for her roles in entertainment but also because she’s been candid about her fight with cancer over the years. While millions of people across the globe deal with the often fatal illness, it’s a lonely experience for many of them. How do you keep that fear from pounding through your veins each time there’s a scan or biopsy? Well, the actress had her fair share of that and it returned. However, this time it has arrived in her brain.

Ahead of the weekend, she took to her Instagram and shared a video of herself prepping for radiation. In her long caption, she said, “Getting fitted for the mask which you wear during radiation to your brain.” The video showed some of the prepping as she lay still under a pink light surrounded by medical machinery.
What did Shannen Doherty think about all alone in her scary experience? Well, there’s no place like being in a radiation facility that concentrates the mind on life. So, she said, “My fear is obvious. I am extremely claustrophobic and there was a lot going on in my life.” The actual process started on January 12, and the video was from that time. As she also said, “that fear…. The turmoil….. the timing of it all…. This is what cancer can look like, ” it seems that she posts for awareness.

Shannen Doherty is grateful for the compassionate and professional medical team. But, she obviously feels afraid. So, people turned up in the comments on Instagram to chat with her.

You have been such a fearless fighter your whole life, so it’s understandable to be a little scared from time to time. But when those moments pass, let that indomitable Doherty spirit take over anew. Hopefully, the treatment works and helps her to enjoy more beautiful sunsets, spring, and the smell of the rain.
