We can all agree that Adam is well deserving of that award for he has indeed made a mark in not just the movie industry but in every comedic role he plays. Besides being an actor, Adam is also a Producer, a Singer (he has a record of 7 albums), a Writer, and a Comedian.

In attendance at the ceremony were fellow stars and close buddies of Adam who came to honor and celebrate the award with him.

Stars like his fellow “Grow Ups” co-star Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Pete Davidson, Drew Barrymore whom Adam co-starred “50 First Dates” with, Jennifer Aniston who worked side by side Adam in “Murder Mystery,” and so many others were all present to Honor Adam.

Fellow Comedian, Chris Rock said in his speech that despite Adam’s unexpected skyrocket in success, no one could deny the fact that Adam is hardworking even though not everyone chose to notice.

Chris Rock said, “Nobody works as hard as the Sandman! Those folks at the Oscars, man…they’re fucking assholes.”

Tim Herlihy, Adam’s roommate at NYU where Adam graduated, also confirmed how hardworking Adam is. “He makes hundreds of hours of work look like going on vacation with his friends.”

Ben Stiller on the order hand noted, “his work feels effortless. I don’t want to say ‘lazy,’ because that’s not the right word…but I don’t have a better word right now, so let’s go with it.”

Ben went on to recall his days co-starring in the movie “Grown Ups” with Adam and went on to tease a part 3 of the film. “Let’s call it Grown Ups 3: There’s a New Grown Up in Town,” said Ben while creating stories of how he would want the third part of the nonexistent movie to be.

Adam Sandler — Adam’s Speech While Accepting His Award

Adam took the stage to accept his award while wearing a suit that looked every bit forced on him. He had admitted earlier on that left for him, he would have “worn basketball shorts.”

In his acceptance speech, Adam said, “As I look at this goofy award I’m holding, I just can’t help but think this just may be the weapon used to bludgeon me, by an angry intruder…or Mr. Rob Schneider.”

He added, “And when someone asks me: Those bad reviews you get — how does that make you feel? The reason they don’t hurt me is because [my friends and I are having so much fun making these movies]. Everything we do together makes me feel like the critics don’t know what they’re talking about.”
