According to People, in a clip the journalist and mother of six shared, followers were treated to a vision of the whole Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin family, baby bump included. The children are seen throughout the clip giving their youngest sibling advice on life.

Captioning the clip, Hilaria wrote, “It’s always been both fun and meaningful for me to find out what is the sex of my baby, yet, as I grow and learn, I want to do it a bit differently this time around.”

“What will make our baby a loving, whole person? What matters? What will make them feel seen, free, and proud? Perhaps nothing that we can define.” she continued, adding, “We can only guide, encourage their spirit, listen, share our experiences, and learn from them, as we watch their own journey. We can provide as good a life as we can, but the rest is up to our baby to discover their own, unique self. “

The author and Yoga instructor then concluded the poignant caption, writing, “I share with you our family’s hopes and wishes, encouragement and advice for our new baby. I feel so much joy, watching these children, who are filled with love and the most simple, kind wisdom. Hearing them share their words is one of my greatest gifts in life. Join us in honoring this whole little independent human, growing inside of me.”

Why Hilaria Baldwin Originally Kept Baby’s Sex Secret

In early April Hilaria shared in an Instagram Story that she was already aware of the sex of her baby-to-be but had a couple of reasons she wanted to keep it secret.

“I lost a baby at 4 months in 2019 (maybe some of you remember). I think about her daily and understand that motherhood has its beauty and its darkness,” she wrote. “But I will wait until I’m past the point when I lost my daughter.”

Readers may recall that the Baldwins lost a baby via miscarriage in April 2019, conceived again, and, tragically, lost the baby in November of the same year. The other reason the expectant mother chose to keep her baby’s sex mum was about respect and gender inclusivity.
