Most actresses love basking in the spotlight. But not Amber Heard. And she feels so determined to avoid notice that she rented her current estate using a pseudonym. The use of that alias, Calamity Jane, allows Amber to relax in her luxury villa in Mallorca, claim Spanish media via the Daily Mail.
Heard, 36, has rented the mansion from a local politician’s family. Worth millions, the estate helps to protect Amber from paparazzi through its location. The actress’ new home lies in the center of a small rural town called Costix in the Spanish island’s heartland. And rumors indicate that Amber quietly moved to Mallorca a few months ago.
Because Heard lost the defamation case involving Johnny Depp in June, that timeline means she made her move soon after her loss. But given that Depp won $10 million in damages, questions remain about how the actress has funded her vacation. And she didn’t travel alone. Amber’s daughter Oonagh Paige and her partner, cinematographer Bianca Butti, went with her.

But does Heard using the alias of Wild West sharpshooter Calamity Jane protect her identity? Not really. And local residents admitted to recognizing Amber for her roles in films such as Aquaman. However, they also tend to let her enjoy life.
And a local shopkeeper described his wife immediately recognizing Heard walking in casual attire with her baby carrier. But as with other residents, they don’t bother Amber. And the locals follow the motto of “live and let live,” added the grocer. “She is like anyone else, she buys fruit and vegetables, she speaks Spanish with a Mexican accent and she’s very polite. She always says good morning to us.”
Heard spends her time with her daughter in the playground, where she interacts with other parents. The actress also relaxes in her mansion, which includes an infinity pool. However, the mystery of how she pays for that retreat remains. But a few rare photographs have shown Amber enjoying her life. For instance, the 36-year-old smiled in a bikini on a beach in one photo. And in another pic Heard visited a park with her one-year-old daughter.
Most recently, Heard changed to a different legal team. She hopes to get two insurance companies to pay the millions owned for libel. And her current attorneys aim to get Amber’s homeowner’s insurance to cover her bills.
