She’s confident she can bounce back from the shock of her absolute loss against Depp, and she’s keeping a “positive outlook” regarding her future.

Amber Heard – Tries To Keep “Positive Outlook” After Criticisms On Social Media And Defamation Case Loss

Earlier this month, Amber Heard was dealt a devastating blow when Depp emerged victorious in all three counts of his defamation lawsuit. Overjoyed, Depp, 58, told fans that he’s glad to have his life back.

On the other hand, not only is Heard now owing Depp over $8 million in damages, she’s also facing severe social media backlash.

Depp originally was awarded $15 million in damages but Heard will only have to pay $10.35 million due to a Virginia law capping punitive damages.

Additionally, Heard was awarded $2 million in damages for her counterclaims against Depp. She won only one out of three counts.

However, Heard is not letting it faze her, according to a source close to the “Aquaman” actress. The source told PEOPLE that she’s “doing okay” following the jury’s verdict, though it is said that “she feels drained and exhausted after the trial.”

The insider also claimed that Heard, 36, “is trying her best to have a positive outlook.”

“She is happy to spend every day with her baby girl [daughter Oonagh Paige, 14 months],” the insider explained. “Her sister [Whitney Henriquez] is also her biggest supporter. They spend a lot time together.”

Amber Heard – Plans To Appeal The Verdict Following Loss Against Ex-husband Depp As She “Cannot Pay”

Amber Heard’s attorney appeared on TV a few days after the actress lost the case to confirm that Heard will “absolutely” appeal the verdict, adding that she cannot pay the amount the court has ordered her to pay Depp.

In the meantime, it’s no longer definite that she’ll appeal the case, though a close source said she’s still considering it.

“Amber is still disappointed about the jury’s verdict,” said the source. “She is still weighing her legal options, but right now, she needs some breathing room to just enjoy the summer.”
