According to a source close to the “Aquaman” actress, she’s currently concentrating on spending time with her young daughter after the “exhausting” lawsuit with ex Johnny Depp. Even though she’s formally applied to appeal the case that saw Depp win in all three counts of his defamation case, the insider shared that she’s far from sweating it and has other priorities at the moment.
Source Close To Amber Heard Calls Her “A Great Mom”
Anyone can guess that spending hours – over the course of several days – at a court room where all you had to do was either recount the worst part of your married life or watch your ex recount his will be energy draining.
This is why Amber Heard, 36, has decided to take a step back to spend more time with her daughter. She’s also prioritizing her mental health after the grueling lawsuit that saw her face to face with her ex Johnny Depp, who she alleged physically and emotionally abused her on several occasions.
While she was photographed looking at Johnny Depp several times during the lawsuit, Depp never once glanced in her direction.Five months after the verdict was given, Heard is focusing on moving forward and building a beautiful life with 18-month-old daughter Oonagh.
For the time being, Heard lives in Europe with her daughter and is focusing “on moving forward”. “The trial was exhausting for her,” the insider said of Heard. “She missed her little girl.” The source then shared that Heard “has spent the last few months in Europe,” which she “loves,” and that the star “is able to just be a mom there.” “She is focused on raising her daughter,” the source said. “She spends every day with her girl. They stroll around, visit parks and enjoy family time. Amber is a great mom.”
Heard is still determined to take away Depp’s victory by winning her appeal case, after her filing for mistrial was dismissed by Judge Azcarate. She’s also switched out her legal team in preparation for the upcoming showdown.
“When it comes to protecting the fundamental right of Freedom of Speech, we look at the jury’s decision — to paraphrase a famous quote — not ‘as the beginning of the end, but merely the end of the beginning.’ A different court warrants different representation, particularly as so much new evidence is now coming to light,” her rep said in a statement at the time.
