Oonagh Paige got welcomed to the world by her famous mother Amber Heard last year. But though the actress revealed her baby’s existence, Amber refuses to name the father. And instead, Heard proclaims herself as both the mother and the father of her daughter, reported Page Six.

In July 2021, Amber shared a photo with her baby. However, her friends spilled that Oonagh arrived on April 8 via a surrogate. And Heard continues to hide any information about who fathered her baby. But she does proudly declare that she plays the roles of both “the mom and dad!”

And accompanying an Instagram photo announcing the news, Amber also explained her views. “I’m so excited to share this news with you. Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my own terms,” shared the actress.  However, Heard called herself “radical” for her attitude about parenting her daughter without a father.

“I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way,” she added. But the actress expressed her hope that the world achieves “a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib. A part of me wants to uphold that my private life is none of anyone’s business.”

As a result of her desire to keep some of her life private, Amber Heard held back on details. But she did admit, “I also get that the nature of my job compels me to take control of this.” As a result, she provided the baby’s birth date and name.

“My daughter was born on April 8, 2021,” added Amber in her Instagram baby announcement. “Her name is Oonagh Paige Heard.” But as for sharing any details about the baby’s father or parenting plans, the actress kept it simple.

“She’s the beginning of the rest of my life,” stated Heard. However, insiders shared that the actress decided to welcome the baby to the world on her own awhile ago. And she takes pride in taking on the role of her daughter’s only legal parent.
