The entertainment industry was hit with the shocking deaths of American Idol music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband, musician Thomas Deluca. Read on to find out what happened.
The Killing Of The Couple
The behind-the-scenes American Idol supervisor and Thomas were found fatally shot in their Encino, California home on Monday during a welfare check. TMZ reported that when they got to the scene, the police gained entry by smashing a window. “They found Robin and Thomas suffering from possible gunshot wounds. They were both declared dead at the scene.”
Since then, an update arrived and a suspect is now in custody. Apparently, there had been a report made of an intruder on the Thursday before the bodies were found. So, police suspect that when Robin Kaye and Thomas Deluca got home, they surprised the person who shot and killed them.
A 22-year-old suspect named Raymond Boodarian has been arrested. The break-in through an open door and the intruder’s arrival were captured on camera. It remains to be seen why the police did not follow up on the reported burglary days before the couple were found dead.

Although people who watch the show didn’t see Robin Kaye on camera, contestants remember her with affection. Season 20 contestant Casey Abrams shared a photo and wrote in the caption: “RIP Robin. You took care of me on Idol! I’m happy I knew you ❤️ Sending love to the Kaye family.”
Simon Cowell hasn’t said anything on social media yet, but he will likely comment in time. Though he’s known for tough critiques, he’s shown empathy toward contestants in the past.

When E! News reported on the deaths on YouTube, fans and those who knew them flooded the comments, calling it “strange and tragic.” One of them wrote: “Robin and Tom were dear friends of mine…. im still in disbelief.. i used to houssit for them, their parrot Bogey and turtle Joe…. this is heartbreaking.”
